Caroline Stewart
Registered Physiotherapist BSc(Hons) (Physio) Caroline graduated with a BSC Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland in 2004. Since graduating Caroline has gained a wealth of physiotherapeutic experience both working within the NHS in the UK for 9 years and then in the private sector in Hong Kong since 2013. Her clinical expertise is wide and varied, she has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist in Orthopaedics, Neurological Rehabilitations, Osteoporosis, Rheumatology, Obstetrics, Plastic Surgery and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation. Caroline enjoys working as a Physiotherapist immensely and takes a holistic approach when assessing a patient’s posture, movement patterns and compensations that can contribute to pain. She feels passionate about identifying the source of the dysfunction rather than just treating the symptoms to help prevent reoccurrence. She is proficient in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions but has special interest in treating neck pain, cervicogenic headaches, back pain, pre and post natal women, pelvic dysfunction and vestibular rehabilitation. She is dedicated to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of the new research and developments in the Physiotherapy field, she has recently gained a certificate in Manual Therapy and attended specialised courses in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Clinical Pilates For Rehabilitation level 1-6, Evidenced Based Soft Tissue Techniques which include trigger point release, myofascial release and muscle energy techniques. Caroline first visited Hong Kong in 2011 and fell in love with the remarkable city, she moved to Hong Kong in 2013 and has no plans to leave. In her spare time she can be found enjoying the hiking trails in Sai Kung. |
