Dr Brent E. Horner
Registered Clinical Psychologist (HKADCP) BA (Hons in Psyc), MA (Comms), PsyD (ClinPsyc) Dr Brent works with adults, teens, and couples. Since each individual has a unique reason for seeking therapy, he dedicates as much time as necessary to understand your challenges and develop a personalized plan for how to help you best. Dr Brent integrates a range of theories and practical skills from different psychotherapy traditions, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy. Originally from Ohio in the US, Dr Brent has lived in Hong Kong since 1995 when he arrived on a scholarship from Rotary International. He is registered with the Hong Kong Association of Doctors in Clinical Psychology and is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA). Before focusing on his therapy practice, he lectured for many years on interpersonal communications, creativity, and psychology. He speaks Cantonese in addition to English. Dr Brent offers 60 minute sessions for individuals and either 60 or 90 minute sessions for couples. Dr Brent is offering teleconsultations during the COVID 19 outbreak.
