Dr Pang was born in Hong Kong, although has lived in the UK and Australia since she was 13. She graduated with a medical degree from the University of Sydney, Australia in 2000 and completed her post graduate training in various rural, secondary and tertiary hospitals in New South Wales, Australia, where she received 6 years of training in general medicine and later subspecialty training.
After completing her specialist and fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney in 2006, she returned to Hong Kong, where she spent 3 years working with the internationally renowned Gastroenterology team at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Shatin. She undertook on call duties, emergency endoscopies, outpatient care and academic research during this time. She has since been in private practice for the last 12 years.
She has a special interest in gastrointestinal bleeding and has published several papers and a book chapter on the subject. She also sees a variety of functional GI problems, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and is a strong advocate of early colorectal cancer screening.
Dr Pang has a holistic and personalized approach to medicine, and believes good rapport to be the cornerstone of a sound doctor-patient relationship.
Outside of medicine, she can often be found hiking in the trails of Hong Kong; she enjoys yoga and cooking, and spending time with her two young children.
