Evey obtained her Physiotherapy qualification from the City University of New York, USA, earning an academic excellence award with a Master degree in Physical Therapy in 2004. She also has a Diploma in Acupuncture from Sun Yat Sen Medical University, Guangzhou, one of the best university hospitals in China, which is accredited by HKPA.

As an experienced qualified Clinical Pilates Instructor, Evey utilises Pilates-based rehabilitation exercise to retrain movement pattern, improve core strength and promote better posture. It can help different people such as office workers with neck and back pain, pregnant moms who want to regain their abdominal strength and athletes and who want to improve their performance.
Evey is the official physiotherapist of the netball team at the Hong Kong Football Club. She has participated as the on-field Physiotherapist at various international sporting events including the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens and JB Classics Tennis tournament providing her with experience in the assessment and treatment of acute and chronic sports-related injuries in elite athletes.
Evey is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Our qualified physiotherapist specializes in neck and back problems. An accurate assessment is vital to identify the source of the pain and to efficiently solve the problem. In order to carry out a comprehensive physiotherapy program, our qualified physiotherapist will use the combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, Clinical Pilates to address the spinal issues.
Our physiotherapist use very “hands on” techniques in treatment. Manual therapy is the use of mobilization of joint, release of tightened muscle , manipulation of specific locked joints . Manual therapy can efficiently target these issues and regain functions.
Acupuncture is effective in treating tight muscles and injured soft tissues by promoting increase of blood circulation of the injured areas and enhancing quicker healing process.
Research has shown that the therapeutic effects of acupuncture include pain relief and relaxation of muscles. Acupuncture increases the threshold of pain perception; this action is mediated by stimulating the release of natural adenosine and endorphins in the body. According to clinical demonstrations, when the appropriate body points have been selected and the proper needling sensation is attained to stimulate the affected area, the analgesic effect can be assured.
Clinical Pilates is used as a rehabilitation tool by qualified physiotherapists to treat postural and spinal dysfunctions, muscle imbalance, incorrect movement patterns. Clinical Pilates is the use of Pilates exercises to retrain movement pattern, improve core strength and promote better posture. It can help different people such as patients with neck and back pain, athletes who want to improve their performance, and pregnant moms who want to regain their abdominal strength.
It is common that pregnant mothers experience back pain during and after delivery, some even have diastasis recti after delivery, a condition with a split abdominal muscles. Ante natal and Post natal care are provided by our physiotherapist to help pregnant mothers to regain and improve their abdominal muscle. Our physiotherapist will provide education on back saving techniques as well as providing ante and post natal clinical Pilates. Pregnant mothers who undertake Clinical Pilates during pregnancy and continue the exercise post- partum are able to improve their abdominal strength and get back into shape quickly.
After an orthopedic surgery (knee arthroscopy / low back discectomy etc), our physiotherapist will design an appropriate strengthening program and progress you accordingly so that you are able to resume daily activities and return to sports safely.
