Dr Hannah Sugarman
DClinpsy., MSc., BSc., (UK), CPsychol. Hannah is a UK-trained Clinical Psychologist who has worked in mental health for number of years across a range of different settings, and has a special interest in the link between physical and mental health. She has experience working in inpatient, outpatient and community settings. She is experienced in working with a range of difficulties including low mood, stress and a range of problems linked to anxiety. In individual therapy, Hannah uses cognitive behavioural therapy, integrating this with techniques from other models including acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing. Hannah is eager to ensure that the therapy fits the client, rather than the opposite; she will work with you to tailor the therapy to your needs and goals. Hannah is able to offer cognitive and neuropsychological assessments for adults and children aged 16 and over. She is experienced in assessment with people experiencing neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis, as well as assessment following traumatic brain injury. This type of assessment can also be of use in identifying the strengths and weaknesses across an individual’s cognitive profile to help to determine whether there are any inconsistencies or deficits that could indicate organic pathology (e.g. dementia) or a neurodevelopmental condition (e.g. ADHD). Dr. Sugarman is one of the few clinical psychologists in Hong Kong who is able to offer expertise in this area for English speaking adults. She is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and is registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (UK). Hannah offers 60 minute sessions for individuals and has a 24-hour cancellation policy. |
