Registered Counsellor (HKPCA - Associate Fellow) BA (Hons), MA, DipSw Shirralee is a counsellor with over 20 years’ experience working with adolescents and adults. She has worked in different sectors of mental health in a number of countries from the UK to Australia. The last 5 years working as a counsellor in an international school in HK so she has insight into the pressures that young people face in HK. She has experience in working with adolescents and adults with stress, anxiety, depression, and other areas of mental health and emotional wellbeing. She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and DNAv, The youth model of Mindfulness and Action. Shirralee is keen to work with individuals to explore the reasons why they have started counselling and to develop a clear plan as they work through their journey, pulling on a range of therapies to fit into their situation and environment. She is also keen to deliver training to raise awareness about emotional wellbeing. She is a member of the British Psychological Society, the Health and Care Professionals Council (UK), Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (Australia) and an Associate Fellow Registered Counsellor in HK. Shirralee offers 60 minute sessions for individuals and has a 24-hour cancellation policy. Shirralee is offering teleconsultations during the COVID 19 outbreak. |
