Terry Luk
MSc in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy (UK) BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (HKPU) Modified Pilates Instructor (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) Terry completed his undergraduate physiotherapy degree with first class honour in Hong Kong. He has over 10 years of clinical experience and has worked in various clinical settings including University Clinic - HKPU, several renowned London NHS hospitals (University College London hospital, Mile End Hospital, etc), the Running School, Sports Injuries Clinics and many more. Terry was a clinical educator in the HKPU for local and overseas physiotherapy undergraduate students. With his work in PhysioLondon as an Upper Limb Specialist Physiotherapist, he provided clinical placements for doctors and physiotherapists on the postgraduate MSc degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary's University in London, UK. He specialises in treating a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, from simple muscle and joint aches, osteoarthritis and neck/back pain to sport injuries. He treats his clients with a very hands-on approaches using advanced techniques developed by many world renowned practitioners. He completed his MSc in Manual Therapy with Merit at Kings College London which has further advanced his assessment and treatment skills. Terry is also a certified Pilates instructor and has been teaching Pilates since 2007. He has a special interest in posture and movement analysis and incorporates his Physiotherapy knowledge and experience in his Pilates teaching. In 2011, he presented his research on “the Effect of Pilates on chronic low back pain” at the Confederation of Physical Therapy conference in Amsterdam and was the winner of Greg Grieve Presentation Award issued by the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Terry has over 10 years of experiences practicing acupuncture and received his foundation acupuncture training in Beijing and Hong Kong. In addition, Terry finds special interest in treating hypermobility syndrome, shoulder injuries and headaches. |
